Teaching Philosophy & Experience


I believe that the best science begins with genuine curiosity, and my teaching is built around that conviction. I emphasize interactive, inquiry-based learning — encouraging students to ask questions, design experiments, and engage critically with data rather than passively absorb information. I am committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive classroom where every student, regardless of background, feels valued and empowered to reach their full academic potential. Ultimately, I aim to train not just future scientists, but thoughtful citizens who understand the natural world and our responsibility to protect it.

Program Director, Center for Precollegiate Education and Training (CPET)
University of Florida | Summer 2026

Directed a university-level pre-collegiate STEM education program, overseeing curriculum design, student mentorship, and program delivery for high school students. Responsibilities included coordinating instructional staff, facilitating hands-on research experiences, and building pathways for underrepresented students into science careers.
